Hey, WISE community!
It's March, and that means we are promoting all things WOMEN! And in that spirit, NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA) hosts its March Monthly Film Festival and annual InFocus: Female Cinema program, celebrates up-and-coming female talent in front of and behind the camera with this month’s InFocus: Female Cinema across two shorts programs and the Los Angeles premiere of Varda Bar-Kar’s documentary Janis Ian: Breaking Silence.

Saturday, March 22nd:
Join us in person at the South Park Center, Downtown LA, for the festival, featuring InFocus: Female Cinema shorts programs, showcasing empowering stories by emerging female filmmakers.
You’ll see films about belonging, self-determination, kicking ass, and so much more, plus the Los Angeles premiere of Janis Ian: Breaking Silence – a documentary on the iconic singer-songwriter.
This is a chance to support women in showbiz, celebrate new voices, and connect with others passionate about change in the industry.
