RATNA FELLOWSHIP

South Asian writers

Introducing the Ratna Fellowship, an unparalleled global initiative that empowers underprivileged yet exceptionally talented South Asian female-identifying and non-binary writers. Over the span of a year, fellows collaborate closely with seasoned professionals to craft top-tier screenplays. Upon completion, these scripts are showcased to industry leaders, including leading Hollywood companies and agents.

The Ratna Fellowship for South Asian writers stands as a beacon of empowerment for emerging talents worldwide. Through personalized mentorship, enriching workshops, and extensive networking opportunities, writers from diverse backgrounds across South Asia and its diaspora embark on a transformative year-long journey. This prestigious program not only promotes diversity and inclusion in the entertainment industry but also honors the invaluable contributions of often overlooked writers, thus cultivating a more vibrant and representative creative landscape.

What we need

We are currently seeking partners, sponsors and donors to kickstart/ underwrite this amazing program that bridges gaps between South Asian countries and Hollywood. Participate in our #openthedoor fundraiser to help turn dreams to reality!
